Tenacious D performs a medley of 'Post-Apocalypto' songs on Jimmy Kimmel's show; watch it.

“There are only, like, three bands that aren’t in quarantine right now…”, Black announces

Tenacious D , the band of Jack Black and Kyle Gass , appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! last Tuesday, the 22nd, to discuss various topics, including how big names in music are behaving (or not) during quarantine, talk about their new comic book , and perform a medley of songs from their latest album, which has a title that couldn't be more perfect for the current moment: Post-Apocalypto .

“There are only, like, three bands that aren’t in quarantine right now,” Black states before listing names, “You’ve got Kanye [West] , you’ve got Smash Mouth , and you’ve got Kid Rock . But other than that, everyone’s on the same page,” the artist affirms. In recent months, West announced his supposed candidacy for the presidency of the United States, Smash Mouth performed a show without COVID-19 precautions, and recently, Kid Rock played a show at a Donald Trump .

And speaking of the President, Black, who was wearing the official Black Sabbath Master Of Reality album font and the phrase “Black Lives Matter,” had a lot to say about the politician. “For the entire four years, we were like, when election time comes, we’re going to tour all the purple states, all the swing states to sway the vote and literally save the world,” he says. “And this pandemic ruined everything, so our plans were destroyed…but the point is, we’re here. So, instead of swaying all the purple states, we’re just going to be here with you.”

Upon entering the performance, Black took a chance with Bonnie Tyler hinting at his choice for the upcoming presidential election: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris . And Tenacious D delivered a fun medley of "Save the World" and "Post-Apocalypto Theme (Reprise)."
